Hallie’s Transformation!

In December of 2009, my life was all starting to come together. I was dating the man of my dreams, a comfortable income, and spending a lot of time with friends and family. My birthday in January came with a huge surprise!! My boyfriend proposed to me (of course, I said yes) and we were set to wed May 15, 2010. A couple months prior is when I decided to start working out at the gym to try to get in shape and maybe shed a few pounds, but now I was going to get serious! I looked into personal training at the gym I was going to, and was introduced to Kari. Not only was Kari a sweet girl and easy to work out with, but she was professional and very motivational during her training sessions. She also did a great job at kicking my you-know-what! I informed Kari of my recent engagement, and how I wanted to look ‘sleek’ on my wedding day. We sat together and discussed my diet as well as how often I was working out and what type of exercises I was doing. Kari made me realize being fit was a lifestyle and not just a quick fix I could do for a little while and then go back to my old ways. She made me LOVE the gym and eating healthy. I’m not a big fan of veggies and healthy foods, but nothing tastes as good as what skinny feels. Within four weeks of training with Kari and keeping a food log, I lost 6lbs and 9.75 inches! I continued to train with Kari and follow a healthy eating lifestyle for the next few months, and by summer I lost another 7lbs and 7.5 more inches and went down a size in jeans! It’s a great feeling to be able to shimmy those old jeans off without having to unbutton them. My friends began noticing the changes in my waist, arms, and around my face. I also noticed my shoulders and back looking more tone and my backside looking better in my jeans! When I went to have my fitting for my wedding dress (which fit perfectly the day I bought it) the waist had to be taken in 2 inches and chest 1inch. What an awesome feeling! I was getting the results I wanted and reaching the goals I had set with Kari my first day of training.

I started my journey at 5’3”, weighing 148lbs and wearing a size 8 in jeans. On my wedding day I weighed 128, had lost over 17 inches total body, and was wearing a size 4 wedding dress (that had been taken in!). I feel great wearing anything! My fiancĂ©, now husband, was so impressed with my lifestyle change and how confident it made me feel, that he pursued a career in personal training and is now a certified trainer himself. He loves being able to make a difference in someone life. If it weren’t for being married to my very own personal trainer, I would work out with Kari as long as she’d let me! I continue to monitor what I eat and put into my body and exercise regularly with my husband. To this day I still see results and improvement in my endurance and stability with the foundation Kari helped me build. I am very grateful for her help and support. She gave me the knowledge to continue a healthier lifestyle.
